CALL FOR PARTICIPATION:

Tesla Science Foundation from USA (TSF) and Tesla Science Foundation from Serbia (TNFS) organize each year three conferences and a large number of gatherings and meetings:

Conferences:

  • Hotel Newyorker in New York, second or third Saturday in January
  • Belgrade, at Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment, first Saturday in June
  • Philadelphia, Independence National Historical Park, July 9 and 10
  • Philadelphia, Science Festival, last Saturday in April
  • Philadelphia, meeting ‘Tesla’s People’ (different dates)

Our mission is for TSF and TNFS to promote Tesla’s science, life and philosophy, and at the same time to recognize organizations and institutions who contribute to the promotion and continuation of Tesla’s work.
In the first part of the Conference we summarize our work results in the period between two Conferences and then other organizations and individuals present their yearly contributions. A large number of artists of different profiles contributed a lot toward understanding Tesla’s life and his large body of work, so it is common for our conferences to present artists. They contributed the most for Tesla to be recongnized as much as he deserves.
The best work, beside getting Tesla medals and certificates, are represented at our exhibition at the New York Conference and some at Belgrade Conference. We are calling you to send your information about your work on time in the area of:

  • Science
  • Inventing
  • Education
  • Literature
  • Art
  • Film
  • Drama
  • Music
  • Animated films

Anything that helps better promotion of NikolaTesla and his work and lead us to the better future. Within 30 days you will be informed if your submission was accepted and for wich conference. People who made the greatest work will be interviewed by TeslaTalk.TV and will be shown on our TeslaTalk.TV youtube channel. Live broadcast of the New York Conference will help a large number of Tesla enthusiasts around the world learn about your work. We will promote your work on our web and social media where we have around 20.000 members.

We are expecting your submissions at nikolalonchar@gmail.com

TESLA’S SPIRIT AWARD CONFERENCE 2020 New York

TESLA’S SPIRIT AWARD CONFERENCE 2020 New York

You are invited to participate!

Dear friends:

January 11, 2020 at the New Yorker Hotel in NYC, the Tesla Science Foundation will hold its 8th Annual Tesla Spirit Award Conference. This year’s conference will also be a celebration to TSF’s 10th Anniversary. We will have guests and speakers from all over the world and with a variety of experience, broken down into three groups.

The morning program will begin with progress reports from various Tesla organizations, connecting all of the great work each group does, and to encourage us all to continue to work together for our common goals and to advance Tesla’s legacy. This is a great opportunity for like-minded individuals and groups to come together, learn about each other’s work, and inspire more great progress for all of us.

Second, we will have the “Tesla Ways” program, where routes in the US and Canada will show important Tesla sites. We will demonstrate the new website and software that will show us all of the places Tesla lived and worked during his 60 years in the US.

Part three of the program will be “How to Make a Tesla Club at Your School” and is designed to assist startup chapters in schools, universities, community centers, libraries and the like. TSF has been helping spread interest in Tesla this way for almost 5 years, working with the Tacony Academy, Franklin Institute, and the Tesla Museum in Belgrade. We have a great network of teachers, artists, engineers and more.

The whole day will also feature an art exhibit, where Tesla-related art from the past year will be on display. There will also be displays of equipment that we hope will be used in future Tesla clubs.

In the evening, there will be a Teslin Narod panel discussion (in Serbian) organized by TSF, the Serbian Consulate in New York, and the program will be led by Katarina Radivojevic, one of Serbia’s most popular actresses.

We will be recording the entire program and will post it to TeslaTalk.tv and there will be a team interviewing speakers in the New Yorker’s Tesla Room, Room 3327, where Tesla lived for many years. The film crew has been working for three years on a film about Tesla enthusiasts that will include our program.

We hope you will be able to make it and be involved!

STARTING A TESLA CLUB AT YOUR SCHOOL

How can you organize a Tesla Club at your School? How can the Tesla Science Foundation (TSF) help? The first step would be to introduce your students to Tesla’s life and work through classroom presentations or a school assembly, depending on the best fit for your school. TSF would bring a display made by Tesla Museum and TSF and lead the initial presentation.

After that, we will consult with interested students and faculty to prepare a mission statement and organize the club. We have a host of resources for helping you to expand your Tesla Club’s exposure and membership, including:

-A Play: “Tesla Past, Present, Future” for which we already have a script.

-Tesla Traveling Exhibit (obtained by TSF from the Tesla Museum)

-Organizing exhibits for arts, science, literary achievements, and the like (TSF would award medals and certificates for the best work).

-Community evenings could also be organized in partnership with TSF. We could have an exhibit of student work. In addition to students’ families, the school could be open to the community.

-Tesla Clubs would have an opportunity to be on Tesla Talk TV (TSF’s TV channel).

Additionally, student members could become TSF members, where the school clubs would be advertised.

-The best student work would be presented at our January and July Conferences in New York and Philadelphia, respectively.

-We can provide quizzes about the life and work of Nikola Tesla. The best students would get TSF participation certificates.

APPLICATION FOR SCHOOL COOPERATION WITH TSF:

School Name & Location

Description of the resources available at your school, including classroom/auditorium space, student and teacher involvement, volunteers, etc.
