City of Philadelphia Designates February 24th as Tesla Science Foundation Day

The City of Philadelphia has officially proclaimed February 24th as Tesla Science Foundation Day, marking a historic milestone in recognition of the Foundation’s two decades of promoting scientific innovation and preserving Nikola Tesla’s legacy.

The date commemorates Tesla’s groundbreaking 1893 presentation “On Light and Other High-Frequency Phenomenon” at The Franklin Institute, a pivotal moment in the history of electrical engineering and scientific advancement.

This designation acknowledges the Tesla Science Foundation’s longstanding commitment to scientific education, particularly through its collaboration with American Paradigm Schools on the “Introducing Tesla to Schools in America” initiative. This educational program has successfully brought Tesla’s innovations and scientific principles to students across the city.

“This recognition reflects twenty years of dedication to advancing scientific education and innovation in Philadelphia,” said Nikola Lonchar, founder of the Tesla Science Foundation. “We are honored to receive this distinction and grateful for our partnership with American Paradigm Schools in fostering the next generation of scientific minds.”

Ashley Redfeam Neswick, CEO of American Paradigm Schools, added, “Our collaboration with the Tesla Science Foundation has significantly enhanced our students’ engagement with science and technology, creating lasting impact in our educational community.”

The Foundation’s achievement represents the collective efforts of volunteers worldwide who have contributed to its mission over the past two decades.
