1. Purpose of This Document

The Tesla Science Foundation (TSF) is an international educational and cultural non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and advancing the legacy of Nikola Tesla for the benefit of science, education, and humanity.

Because the name Nikola Tesla carries global historical, scientific, and ethical significance, its use requires responsibility, professionalism, and full alignment with the mission and values of the Tesla Science Foundation. For this reason, TSF has established clear, transparent, and equal guidelines applicable to all individuals and organizations worldwide.

These guidelines exist to protect the integrity of Nikola Tesla’s legacy, the reputation of the Tesla Science Foundation, and all legitimate initiatives operating under its name.


2. Types of Requests That May Be Considered

The Tesla Science Foundation may consider the following types of expressions of interest:

2.1 Nikola Tesla Club

Local educational, cultural, or youth-focused clubs dedicated to learning, creativity, innovation, and ethical values inspired by Nikola Tesla.

2.2 Educational or Cultural Programs Under TSF

Specific programs, events, workshops, or initiatives conducted under the supervision and approval of TSF.

2.3 Expression of Interest for a Future TSF Chapter

A non-binding expression of interest to explore the possibility of establishing a future TSF chapter or affiliated entity, subject to a formal approval process.

Important: An expression of interest does not constitute approval, authorization, or endorsement.


3. What Is Not Permitted

Without prior written approval from the Tesla Science Foundation:

  • The name “Tesla Science Foundation,” “TSF,” or “Nikola Tesla” may not be used in any official, promotional, legal, or public capacity.
  • No individual or organization may announce, imply, or promote the establishment of a TSF chapter, foundation, or branch.
  • TSF logos, branding, historical materials, or reputation may not be used for fundraising, marketing, or institutional purposes.
  • No public statements may suggest affiliation, partnership, or authorization.

Any unauthorized use may result in immediate legal and reputational action.


4. Required Documentation for Initial Review

All applicants must submit the following materials:

  1. Letter of Intent (1–2 pages)
    • Purpose and motivation
    • Proposed activities or programs
    • Intended geographic scope
  2. Legal Status
    • Proof of registration (if applicable)
    • Country of operation
  3. Organizational Structure
    • Names and biographies of key individuals
    • Governance and decision-making structure
  4. Mission Alignment Statement
    • Confirmation of alignment with TSF US and TSF Serbia
    • Agreement to preserve TSF’s mission, values, and standards
  5. Proposed Programs or Activities
    • Educational, cultural, scientific, or community initiatives
  6. Contact Information
    • Designated responsible person

5. Review and Approval Process

  1. Submission of complete documentation
  2. Preliminary internal review by TSF leadership
  3. Legal, reputational, and strategic due diligence
  4. Optional preliminary Zoom or in-person discussion
  5. Review by the TSF Board of Directors in coordination with TSF Serbia
  6. Written decision communicated to the applicant

Only a written agreement approved by the TSF Board constitutes authorization.


6. Governance and Central Coordination

The Tesla Science Foundation operates under a centralized governance model. All approved entities, clubs, or programs must:

  • Follow TSF bylaws and ethical standards
  • Coordinate activities with TSF US and TSF Serbia
  • Accept ongoing oversight and reporting requirements

7. Final Provisions

  • The Tesla Science Foundation reserves the right to approve or decline any request at its sole discretion.
  • Submission of materials does not create any obligation on the part of TSF.
  • These guidelines apply equally to all individuals and organizations worldwide.

The purpose of these guidelines is not restriction, but responsibility — ensuring that Nikola Tesla’s name is honored with integrity, seriousness, and long-term vision.
